We have also managed to put the last edition of the IAAS WORLD magazine online. It is available to download here.

Also IAAS Mexico made a GREAT short movie about who they are and what IAAS is all about. You can watch the whole movie if you click on the following link.

Founded in 1957 in Tunis by 8 countries, the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences is at the moment one of the world's biggest student organizations and one of the leading agricultural student associations. IAAS gathers students studying, majoring or researching in agriculture and related areas like environmental sciences, forestry, food sciences, landscape architecture etc. Its committees are spread in universities in over 40 countries worldwide.

The aims of IAAS are to promote the exchange of knowledge, information and ideas among students, and to improve the mutual understanding between countries and cultures. To do this, we organise activities like seminars, working camps, international meetings, exchange weeks, an international exchange program, small-scale development projects etc.

IAAS is place where agricultural students from all over the world meet each other, experience new mentalities and cultures, travel and see new places and learn about all aspects of agriculture together with their future colleagues.

The members of IAAS are student associations or groups of students in an (agricultural) university, the so-called 'Committees'. 'Member' usually refers to a country, even though each country can have several groups and/or student associations working for IAAS. If this is the case, the main group is referred to as 'National Committee', and the other group(s) as Local Committee(s). Any (agricultural) student and/or graduate can be a member of such a committee.

Where no organisation is represented in IAAS, individuals who would like to be closer to the association have the possibility to become Correspondent member. Correspondent membership is a way to get updated from time to time on the events going on in the Association. Whenever possible they can also take part in the activities although full membership gives more possibilities. The Correspondent member is expected to promote the Association and may eventually lead to the founding of a new Local or National IAAS Committee.
