What
is the Exchange Program ? |
| |
| |
Expro stands for the IAAS exchange program. Throughout 40 years,
IAAS exchange program is offering the unique opportunity for students
to experience and learn about agricultural related subjects
on an international level, while broadening their own views
and helping to create open and internationally-minded people.
Students have the possibility to experience how the agricultural
institutes work in another country, exchange the ideas, experiences
and information.

What is the cost ? |
| |
| |
The payment consists of an ExPro-fee which you pay to IAAS International,
a deposit and in some hosting countries an administration fee. The latter depends on the hosting country and can be found in the country information.
If eventualy you would not be offered a place you will
be completely refunded. If you receive a place, your deposit will
be refunded after you attened your training and filled in the evaluation
form. If you do not attend the training offered to you, you lose
both the fee and the deposit you've been paying ! The price you
pay depends on your country.

Why
would you participate ? |
| |
| |
The Expro will be an experience you'll never forget! You will not
only get to know new aspects about agriculture but you will be introduced
in an entire new way of living, working, etc.

How
do I get the place ? |
| |
| |
First of all you should decide whether you want to do a farm work
(ceres), a research (archimedes) or a volunteering work to know
which program you want to apply for. The procedures are are slightly
different for each of these programs. Only ceres is organised in
this on-line system.

What is my chance to find a place ? |
| |
| |
to check the chances to be placed. The first column says what percentage of the candidates for that country got a place in the past. The second column indicates the number of candidates at this moment.
You will have the best chance to find a place if you apply for countries
with a green index. We really ask you to think about this. Applying for a green country gives you a good chance, an application for a red country will probably not be placed.

How
about the insurance ? |
| |
| |
If you eventually are going to be attending a training on a farm
you NEED to be insured! Be aware that a travel insurance
is not always enough.
